More Eyeballs!

My brother has requested to see more eyeball pictures. Probably because it's the only class I ever talk about, and the main reason why I began thinking about switching to Biomed. These images are from the High Mag project - the only "A" I managed to earn in Ophthalmic last quarter.

The first picture is the Macula (the dark circle in the middle) Centered at 30 degrees using an exciter filter. The image i turned in is not nearly as contrasted because I wasn't allowed to photoshop it (understandably, we want a high degree of simulacrum in science). The blue filter cuts down on the contrast making it harder to focus as well as harder to see what you're doing through the lens in general. I had to keep switching between the blue and green filters because I could actually focus with the green filter (because it increases the contrast!!!) in place.

The second image is the Optic Disc Centered at 30 degrees using a Red-Free (aka Green - why the hell can't they call it a green filter?!) filter. The Red-Frees were much easier to focus because of the increased contrast. Plus, they are just nicer to look at. With the green filter in place, you can see so much more detail through the lens of the camera. I wish I could shoot everything through the green filters! Again though, I did some editing in photoshop before putting it up here.
