Today, I learned how to use fondant. I decided I wanted to earlier this year when I was watching Ace of Cakes. I've heard that fondant is supposed to be really hard to work with... but I didn't have a single problem, other than I should have put the cake on the plate before attempting to cover it. I would say it's pretty good for a first try at cake decorating. I'm going to have to work with this and refine this skill.
