Blah!!!!!!

Spiders freak me out. Now seriously, they are eight-legged, little, venomous creatures lurking around in places where you least expect to find them... such as just behind the rice maker, or worse, your forehead in the middle of the night. Luckily, this little guy was of the former group, and I accidently touched his web while I was reaching for the rice cooker, causing him to dart away towards the small space behind the oven. His quick movement scared me nearly to death, but I decided then that I would photograph him. 

Later that night, I got this shot. I had to throw a little piece of garlic bagel into his web for him to think his dinner had arrived. He must not have minded the smell of the garlic because he stayed in one spot long enough to decide that the bread was not some other "delicious" critter, allowing me to photograph him from several angles. He must have been one blind spider after that photo shoot...
