Spiderman Sighting!

So this is one my surreal portraits. We have to shoot two of them. I really wanted to shoot Spiderman's Kiss...but to be perfectly honest, I chickened out asking my model to do that. It probably would have been way too awkward for him to be kissing someone on camera. But asside from that, the image is a good one. I have a perfect exposure, and the lighting is interesting. And seeing in how it was the first time that I had ever used film in a 4x5, I'm willing to say that it turned out pretty well.

This shot was probably the most involved out of everything so far this year. I actually took the picture while I was staying in Washington DC for the weeend. I didn't have any room in bags for clothes, so I had to give all of that to my mom while I was in California. That way she could bring it back to DC so that I could have clothes to wear during the weekend. I put the camera in my overnight bag so that I didn't have to check it...not that I would have checked the camera anyway. It also made it so that I didn't have to attempt to carry that camera case through security or down the terminal. I filled my other bag with anything else that I may have needed including my flashes, light meter, pocket wizards, shutter release cable and tri-pod mount. So carrying everything was extreemely heavy...both of my shoulders were bruised from holding all the weight. But all the effort was well worth it.
