Gucci

I've never shot a product before. Nor have I ever shot glass. I know that this does need a bit of work with the lighting, but I think it's a good start. I ended up having to do about an hour or so of photoshop work to it, but I really feel like I highlighted the perfume bottle. Which of course was the point of the image.

This picture actually came about from a mistake. I was trying to have a model pose for me for a completely different idea, but I really didn't like the lighting in any of the final pictures. I decided that with the last 2 minutes of battery life in my camera I was going to shoot my perfume bottle. This is what I got. I'll be turning it in tomorrow for critique.

The amount of activity in the bottle's top is very fast and busy compared to the crisp glass of the bottle...and it's that blur of numerous hues that become distracting to the rest of the photo. The chrome-like color of the spray nozzle just sucks your eye to it.

The wave of fabric is very strong compositionally while the white highlights on the glass bottle bring out the glamor and high fashion that gets conveyed in most all perfume ads.

Very nice. Have fun photoshopping.
