Old School

What a crazy night... I can't believe we didn't get arrested for this. It was one of those bitter cold, clear nights in Rochester, and for whatever reason my friends and I decided that we were going to shoot one of my projects at 2am. The project was "Fire" and I used the theme to show how college students (mainly freshman students with nothing better to do) "burn" their extra energy. So this night, we caused a bit of a ruckus in an open field. We lit some small items on fire, attached them to a string and then let centrifugal forces conveniently pull the sparks out into space, away from the mischief makers (although at some points towards the photographer (>.<) ). As you can see, it made quite the impressive ground level firework... and it made for a really great time... until we noticed that the coyotes were getting closer. Naturally, we ran for the car, and sped off before anyone (and the coyotes) would notice that we were there.

...What a great night...
